SARR Before Donations

For the first eight years of its existence, SARR has been a self-supporting effort.  Even when I lost my job in October of 2001, I continued to support SARR on my own, as my gift to the addict and family who still suffer from sexual addiction. In March of 2002 I was still without a job and had a family to feed and a house to pay for, and I broke what had been an eight-year tradition: I asked for help to keep SARR alive.  Five wonderful people came forward and provided for SARR's expenses (to those people: I sincerely thank you!).  Those payments enabled SARR to keep running through the time I was unemployed.

Why Allow Donations Now?

As of the time of this writing, I am not yet employed but it looks very much like I will be soon.  Thus, I am withdrawing my formal request for help as I will soon be able to support SARR on my own.  However, It was explained to me that some people may find SARR to be helpful and perhaps would donate to give back to SARR or to the recovery community, or to help SARR further meet the needs of those affected by sexual addiction.  With donations, I may be able to add some additional services (meeting databases, workshop databases, recovery services, etc.) to help addicts and their families, friends, and counselors.

Donations are NOT Required!

I want to emphasize that donations are not required for anyone to use SARR.  It is completely free to all who need it.  I am simply opening up the option of donations for those who feel led to help SARR continue its work and expand its services.

SARR is NOT tax-deductible

SARR is my own personal effort (although now helped by personal donations from people as each person feels led).  Just to be up-front about this: SARR is not a company, and you won't get a tax deduction for your donation.

My Commitment... My Word

You have my word on this: Whatever I receive will go exclusively to meet the expenses of SARR and to further its ability to help the sexual addict and those affected by sexual addiction.
